The ISSN Award was established in 2007 by the ISSN Governing Board, to support and encourage ISSN member countries encountering financial difficulties to participate in ISSN training sessions and meetings. The objective of the award is to provide financial support to a country that is making a consistent effort to participate in ISSN activities that would enable them to attend a training session and/or ISSN meeting.

To check the criteria, you may access the ISSN Community part (with your login and password) , and go to the "Technical information "  section.

2013/04/18 – PRESSoo meeting: April, 24th, 2013 at the ISSN IC

The  version 0.1 of the PRESSoo model is available on the ISSN IC website: http://www.issn.org/2-24155-PRESSoo-model.php.

A presentation of this model  will be given during a meeting to be held in the ISSN IC premices on 24th April 2013.

2013/01/30 – "Gold mining! Text and Data Mining of Journals - Librarians, Publishers and researchers excavating the treasure trove"

The Serials and Other Continuing Resources Section (SOCRS) invites colleagues to submit proposals for its two-hour open session at the IFLA Congress in Singapore on the theme of Text and data Mining of Scholarly Journals.

Proposal submission deadline:  Friday 22nd February 2013

Notification of acceptance:  Friday 15th March 2013

Submission of completed paper:  31 May 2013.

2012/11/20 – New Project between CNR and Bologna University

We are pleased to announce the launching of a new project for the identification in bulk of Italian serials, in cooperation with the Consiglio Nazionale della Ricerche (Rome), host of the Italian ISSN National Centre, and the Universita di Bologna, Area Sistemi Dipartimentali e Documentali, which runs the ACNP union catalogue. This project will result in a very important increase of the number of Italian serials in the ISSN international register.
