What is the ISSN Portal?
In order to respond to our users'expectations, the International Centre has implemented a new information system that allows our costumers to access the ISSN Register through a portal updated in real time. "The ISSN Portal" replaces « ISSN Online » web access.

The ISSN Portal contains technical improvements through a much more interactive interface.

What  is new?

• Database updates in real time ;

• "Save to cart" option ;

• Saving of user search sessions ;

• Access to the List of Title Word Abbreviations ;

• "Open Url" external linking to ISSN compliant resources ;

• Downloading of records in UNIMARC and MARC 21 ;

• Z 39.50 access ;

• Submission of lists of ISSNs ;

• Submission of lists of titles ;

• Browsing of indexes (titles, issuing bodies…) ;

• Filtering of indexes ;

• Unicode UTF-8 compliant data ;

• Availability of XML records (Dublin Core, ONIX) ;

• Sorting of results.

How to subscribe?
The ISSN Portal is accessible, based on an annual licence agreement (January to December), through three subscription modes :

• Authentication with a password

• Authentication with IP

• Access through the Z39.50 protocol

Other ISSN products are still available: CD-Rom, List of Titles and Words Abbreviations in paper and electronic edition, the ISSN cataloguing manual, in paper and electronic edition.
