Special characters
The character set of the ISSN records is built on the international standards ISO 646 and ISO 5426. A combination of the two sets was carried out in accordance with the rules laid down by section 6 of the ISO 2022 standard.
Equivalence with the Unicode characters is also given in the table below. The representation of the characters being here ensured by Unicode entities, it depends on the presence of the suitable font on the user's system.
