The Importance of Persistent Identifiers: The Vision of Latindex

Carlos Authier (Director of the ISSN Centre in Argentina), Ana María Cetto and José Octavio Alonso Gamboa (in charge of the Latindex network in Mexico) emphasise the importance of persistent identifiers (PIDs) for scientific production. In their article, they examine how journals indexed in DOAJ and Latindex’s Catalogo 2.0 use PIDs.
