A ballot on the next version of the ISO 3297 standard has just been launched by ISO. The national standard-setting organizations of TC46/SC9 Information and documentation – Identification and description member countries are required to submit their vote and comments to ISO before March 27th, 2019.
ISSN has been a persistent identifier for more than 40 years and still is! This is good news the Director of the ISSN International Centre will share with experts attending the two-day PIDapalooza Persistent Identifier festival in Dublin, Ireland, on 23-24 January 2019.
The Iranian ISSN Center, hosted by the National Library of Iran, organized a workshop for 30 representatives of Iranian journal publishers on November 20th, 2018. During this one-day event, the staff of the ISSN Iranian National Center and local journal publishers discussed the latest issues regarding the international and national regulations for ISSN assignment, the free services of the new ISSN Portal, and the free data provided in ROAD, the Directory of Open Access Scholarly Resources.
